In the 1980s, Yahya Ebrahim worked in a bag stitching unit in Bangalore. He realized that consumers wanted good car seat covers. So, he came up with an interesting idea. He customized car seat covers to individual cars and cut down the installation time from days to a mere hour. And so, Wellfit was born. Wellfit was established in Dubai and grew from there into a global company with franchises around the world. Since then, he has worked relentlessly to incorporate the latest developments in technology into our process. His effort and dedication to progress show in every car seat cover that we manufacture. Today he continues to work tirelessly and is an inspiration to us all.

The Wellfit brand was established, signifying a pivotal shift to a 7-shutter unit. The incorporation of Velcro into our products significantly reduced fitting time from 5 hours to just 2 hours

We initiated direct imports of materials from the USA

In a significant move, we relocated to our own 10,000 sq ft building in Ajman

We have innovatively incorporated invisible zippers into our headrests and introduced elastic bands and buckles to our products, reducing the risk factors associated with seat fitting labour, such as potential damage to hands from pins. These enhancements reflect our commitment to quality and innovation

We adopted and acquired a heat lamination machine from Korea, establishing ourselves as a monopolistic company with high demand for our products. This success led to our expansion, and we shifted to a 40,000 sq ft facility in Ajman

Introduced an automatic cutting machine with supporting CAD software

In response to the growing demand for our products, we strategically established another expanded manufacturing unit within the Cochin Special Economic Zone in India

Implemented Eton Technology to enhance productivity in stitching processes, aiming to establish a more efficient system on the stitching side
